My personal favourite movies under the Genre Action and Horror.

 Action.

For movies under the genre action I don't have a single favourite movie  as I enjoy them all. But some of my favourites are:

• James Bond.
• Kingsman.
• Saving Private Ryan. 
• 1917.
• Money Heist. (Series)
• The Avengers. 

Out of the ones above if I had to pick what to watch it would be out of those ones.

James Bond.

James Bond for me has to be up there for one of my favourites as the way the directors make the films so engaging to watch as well as the storyline so interesting. With the amount of James Bond movies that have been released some would say they would die out but now with this franchise they seem to only get better and better. With all parts of action from car chases, to shoot outs, as well as stunts. Which makes for the audience a great film to watch as the way the storyline flows as well as the scenes they record all over the world creating a great picture for the audience to enjoy.

1917

1917 set around The First World War an interesting insight to what happened at that time. Sam Mendes the director did a great a job directing this film. One of the best things about this film is the amount of cuts it was only 34 camera cuts which isn't many for a movie especially a war movie. With this few amount of camera cuts it made the film flow a lot easier and the scenes look a lot better. I enjoyed the storyline as it felt as if you were going on the journey with the actors as well you feel the sense of urgency to get to the other side to help save his men from most likely dying and it really felt as if you was there which is why I think it was so good, and why it is one of my favourites.

Money Heist

Though a series and not a movie and some could argue it isn't directly under the genre of action but with the amount of action there I believe it could be. So I added Money Heist to the list as its one of the best series I have watched the way the director Alex Pina created this story of how you as the audience would always think or guess what would happen next then suddenly the story changes always second guessing yourself, which is why it is so good to watch and the suspense ad anticipation it gives shows why it is such a good series.

Horror.

For movies under the genre horror I don't have a single favourite movie as I enjoy them all. But some of my favourites are:

• The Nun.
• The Purge.
• The Conjuring.
• IT.
• Bird Box.
• Happy Death Day.

Out of the ones above if I had to pick what to watch it would be out of those ones.

The Nun.

The Nun a newly released film with the sight of horror throughout based at an old church. The lighting forever dark and the hint of suspense as at any moment a possible jump scare could happen. Apart from that The Nun is a good horror film to watch and is enjoyable. The director Corin Hardy did a great job to create this movie as it gives of every aspect of a horror movie and more which is why it is one of my favourites.

The Purge.

I myself don't have a favourite movie under The Purge franchise so I've chosen them as a whole as each are so different and give of different perspectives of what happens on the night of The Purge from being from the bottom of the wealth divide to being at the top and watching how each characters tried their best to survive. For the amount of The Purge movie that have been released you would expect one or two to not quite match the rest for how good they are but for me I believe they are all as good as each other all storylines are different and great movie to watch.

IT.

IT is about a clown that terrorises 7 kids. It is one of my favourites as at first it doesn't seem to much like a horror movie but with the constant jump scares and as the story develops you can soon see why it is under the genre of horror. The story line is easy to understand and a good watch for the audience.
