What other media products that have inspired me for my planning.

 Television Programmes

Money Heist.

Money Heist is a Crime - Thriller - Drama though could also be categorised under the genre action due to the characteristics and of the series with the constant scenes of action and fast flow. It is based of smart criminals trying to rob a bank in Spain. When watching Money Heist you get the sense of urgency throughout, with the storyline being so well written it becomes from the audiences perspective a really good and enjoyable series to watch. As well as the sense of not knowing what is going to happen next. Something the director Alex Pina did very well when directing it. Episodes are full of action and suspense.

Money Heist has helped me plan for my opening scene by making me think about the flow and the constant sight of action. I would also like just like Money Heist for the audience not to know what is going to happen next something  the director Alex Pina did so well. This should enhance the audience into the film opening and to stay switched on to try and understand the story line and get any hints possibly given in the scene.

Writing's On The Wall. - Sam Smith.

With the song Writing's On The Wall, the way it is sung and the backing track gives us the feel of suspense. This is evident from the start it is slow and takes a little bit of time to speed up and the backing track gets more intense and louder giving the audience this sense of suspense. Not only does the music and sound dictate the feeling of the story but the visuals showed on the song really goes well with everything you can hear.

Songs like Writing's On The Wall gives myself the idea of possibly adding a song to play in the background or at the start or end of the opening scene. As this can give context to what is happening or going to happen. Even if we decide to just add a background sound or a song, this can create the sense of fear, suspense etc. So the idea of music can really help us to create a feeling for the audience when watching.

Spectre.

Spectre is under the genre action. This is seen with the fast cuts, fight scenes and with violence been shown throughout. Not only is it a really good film to watch. The storyline as well makes it so good.

This film inspires my thinking towards my own opening sequence as it makes me think what exactly I need to include and have in my own opening sequence. Such as the fast motion of scenes, fight scenes and violence. As well as including a intense background sound to really add to the opening sequence. This should ultimately make my own opening sequence better as well as more enjoyable for the audience. I also feel like the use of costumes would benefit the opening sequence, depending on the scene and circumstance we need to think about the outfit for the scene and make sure it makes sense as if the costume doesn't fit the storyline it won't look good from the audiences perspective and they could lose interest.

Gonna Fly Now. - Bill Conti. (Rocky Theme Song).

With this song you hear it and know exactly what film it is associated with. With its fast beats and happy feel when hearing the song makes the film all the much better when the song is played in the background.

This inspires me to think about how important a song is to a film and how it has to match what is happening. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense this now has me thinking of ideas of songs to really match the genre as well as the storyline as ultimately both have to match with one and other, for the background music to be anyway beneficial to our opening scene. As seen with Rocky the song goes well with the film and really add that motivational spirit to the film as well which makes it better to watch in my opinion.
