Thriller.

Due to a lot of thinking I have decided to tweak my idea more towards the genre of a Thriller. After watching some thriller films I have decided to make the change of genres to a thriller.


The aims of a Thriller is:

  • Create suspense.
  • Create excitement.
  • Should generate excitement, interest and exhilaration.
  • Keeping the audience interested.
  • Put the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions.
Thrillers are full of conflict, tension, suspense, unexpected twists and high stakes.


Conventions of a Thriller:
  • Clearly defined hero, villain and victim.
  • Here has to stop the villain and save the victim.
  • Power divide between here and villain is large.

Examples of Thrillers are:
  • Fight Club (1999).
  • TENET.
  • Bird Box.
  • The Nun.
  • No Time To Die.
